Terms of Service
By using Eyezo you agree to these terms. If you don't agree, please don't use the app.
1. What Eyezo is (and isn't)
Eyezo provides eye-care break reminders, screen-time tools, app limits, guided eye exercises and nutrition information. Eyezo is a wellbeing tool, not a medical device. Nothing in the app is medical advice, and it does not diagnose, treat or cure any condition; consult a qualified eye-care professional for medical concerns. Exercise content is general guidance — stop if you feel discomfort. Nutrition content is reference information, not dietary advice.
2. Accounts
- You must be at least 13 years old to create an account. Where local law sets a higher minimum age for consenting to online services (up to 16 in some countries), you need a parent's or guardian's consent.
- An account is required to use Eyezo. You can sign in with email, Google or Apple.
- You're responsible for keeping your credentials and your parental PIN safe.
- You can delete your account at any time in Settings → Account → Delete account.
3. Free and premium
The break timer, the overlay and core reminders are free. Premium unlocks per-category break styles, deeper analytics, additional themes, Strict Mode and other features marked in the app. The free version is supported by ads; premium is ad-free, and accounts linked as a child never see ads.
4. Subscriptions & billing
- Plans: Elite (monthly), Elite Plus (yearly) and Eyezo Family (monthly). Prices are shown in the app, in your local currency, before you purchase.
- Where a free trial is offered, its length is shown on the plan before you buy. Not every plan includes a trial.
- All payments are processed by Google Play Billing. Subscriptions renew automatically until cancelled in your Google Play subscription settings; cancelling stops future renewals and premium continues until the end of the period you have paid for.
- Refunds follow Google Play's refund policy.
- We may change plan prices or features. Price changes take effect from your next billing cycle, and Google Play will ask for your consent where its rules require it.
5. Eyezo Family (parental plan)
- One Eyezo Family subscription covers the parent plus premium for up to 2 linked children. Additional children need their own subscription and can then be linked for oversight.
- A child links by entering the parent's invite code after an explicit in-app disclosure. While linked: Strict Mode stays on and cannot be disabled — by the child or the parent; gated settings changes need the parent's PIN; daily summaries are shared with the parent.
- Only the parent can remove a link. A child can always sign out or delete their account; doing so ends their family premium.
- Family premium ends immediately when the link ends or the parent's plan lapses. To prevent abuse, a family seat released more than 48 hours after being claimed stays reserved for 30 days from the claim.
- Family seats are for your own children or household members under your supervision. Reselling or sharing seats outside your household may result in revocation.
- By linking a child you confirm you are their parent or legal guardian (or have the account owner's informed consent) and accept the supervision features described in our Privacy Policy.
6. Eye Care Points
Points are earned through in-app activity (such as completing breaks) and can be spent on in-app effects (such as a +15-minute limit extension). Points have no monetary value, cannot be transferred, sold or redeemed for cash, and may be adjusted if we change the points economy or detect manipulation (for example device-clock tampering).
7. Acceptable use
Don't abuse the service: no attempts to bypass enforcement features you or your parent configured, no circumventing family-seat rules, no reverse-engineering the service to obtain entitlements you haven't paid for, no abusive content in feedback, and no use that breaks the law.
8. Intellectual property
Eyezo, its name, logo, design, animations, written content and software are owned by the developer and protected by copyright. Your subscription grants you a personal, non-transferable licence to use the app — it does not transfer ownership of anything. You may not copy, redistribute, modify or create derivative works from the app or its content without permission.
9. Your feedback
If you send us feedback or feature ideas, you allow us to use them to improve Eyezo without obligation or compensation. You keep any rights you already had; we simply don't owe you anything for acting on a suggestion.
10. Service changes & availability
We're a small team improving Eyezo continuously. Features may change, and the service may occasionally be unavailable. We may discontinue features with reasonable notice. Some device manufacturers aggressively restrict background apps; we work hard to survive this, but cannot guarantee uninterrupted reminders on every device.
11. Disclaimer & liability
The app is provided "as is" and "as available", without warranties of any kind to the maximum extent permitted by law. To the maximum extent permitted by law, we are not liable for indirect, incidental or consequential damages arising from use of the app, and our total liability is limited to the amount you paid us in the 12 months before the claim.
Nothing in these terms limits any right you have under mandatory consumer-protection law in your country, including statutory warranties and the right to a remedy — those rights apply regardless of what this section says.
12. Indemnification
You agree to indemnify us against claims, damages and reasonable costs arising from your misuse of the service, your breach of these terms, or your violation of another person's rights — for example linking a child account without being their parent or guardian.
13. Termination
You can stop using Eyezo and delete your account at any time. We may suspend or terminate accounts that violate these terms or abuse the service. If we terminate your account without cause while you have paid time remaining, we will refund the unused portion where Google Play's rules allow.
14. Circumstances beyond our control
We are not liable for failures caused by events outside our reasonable control — including network or hosting outages, platform or store changes, natural events, or government action.
15. If part of these terms doesn't hold
If any provision of these terms is found unenforceable, the rest stays in force and the unenforceable part is applied as narrowly as the law allows.
16. Transfer
You may not transfer your rights under these terms. We may transfer ours to a successor if the app changes ownership, and will tell you in the app if that happens.
17. The whole agreement
These terms, together with our Privacy Policy, are the entire agreement between you and us about Eyezo, and replace any earlier version.
18. Governing law, changes & contact
These terms are governed by the laws of India. If you are a consumer resident elsewhere, you may also rely on the mandatory consumer laws of your own country, and may bring proceedings there where local law gives you that right.
We'll post updates to this page with a new effective date; continued use after a change means you accept it. Material changes will be announced in the app or by email.
