Eyezo — Eye Care & Screen Time Tracker  ·  Last updated: June 6, 2026

These Terms of Service ("Terms") govern your use of the Eyezo mobile application ("the app") developed by Shanu Tyagi ("we," "our," or "us"). By downloading, installing, or using Eyezo, you agree to be bound by these Terms.

1. Description of Service

Eyezo is a health and wellness application that helps protect your eyesight by implementing the 20-20-20 rule: every 20 minutes of screen time, the app reminds you to look at something 20 feet away for 20 seconds. The app provides break reminders, screen time tracking, eye care analytics, and related features.

Eyezo is a wellness tool and does not provide medical advice, diagnosis, or treatment. Always consult a qualified eye care professional for medical concerns.

2. Account Registration

  • You may use Eyezo as a guest with limited features, or create an account for the full experience.
  • You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your account credentials.
  • You must provide accurate information when creating an account.
  • You must be at least 13 years old to create an account.
  • One account per person. Account sharing is not permitted.

3. Free and Premium Plans

Eyezo offers a free version with limited advertisements and premium subscriptions with additional features.

  • Free: Core eye-care features (break reminders, basic analytics, exercises) with limited ads.
  • Elite (monthly) and Elite Plus (yearly): the full premium experience — Screen Guard app limits, Strict Mode, per-category break modes, advanced analytics, Sanctuary theme, ad-free, priority support.
  • Eyezo Family (monthly): everything in premium for you, plus full premium for up to 2 linked children at no extra cost, with parental controls (see section 4.1).
  • New accounts may receive a 3-day free trial of premium features.

4. Subscriptions & Payments

  • Premium subscriptions are billed through Google Play Store.
  • Subscriptions automatically renew unless cancelled at least 24 hours before the end of the current billing period.
  • You can manage or cancel your subscription in Google Play Store → Subscriptions.
  • Refunds are handled according to Google Play Store's refund policy.
  • We reserve the right to change subscription pricing with reasonable notice.
  • Promotional pricing, coupons, or trial periods may be offered at our discretion.

4.1 Eyezo Family & Parental Control

  • One Eyezo Family subscription covers the subscriber plus premium for up to 2 linked children. Additional children need their own subscription and can then be linked for oversight.
  • A child links by entering the parent's invite code after an explicit in-app disclosure of what the parent will see.
  • While linked: Strict Mode stays on and cannot be disabled — by the child or the parent; designated settings changes require the parent's PIN; daily wellbeing summaries are shared with the parent.
  • Only the parent can remove a link. A child can always sign out or delete their account; doing so ends their family premium.
  • Family premium ends immediately when the link ends or the parent's plan lapses. To prevent abuse, a family seat released more than 48 hours after being claimed stays reserved for 30 days from the claim.
  • Family seats are for your own children or household members under your supervision. By linking a child you confirm you are their parent or legal guardian (or have the account owner's informed consent).

4.2 Eye Care Points

Points are earned through in-app activity (such as completing breaks) and can be spent on in-app effects (such as a +15-minute limit extension). Points have no monetary value, cannot be transferred, sold, or redeemed for cash, and may be adjusted if we change the points economy or detect manipulation (for example, device-clock tampering).

5. Acceptable Use

You agree not to:

  • Reverse engineer, decompile, or disassemble the app
  • Modify, adapt, or create derivative works from the app
  • Use the app for any unlawful purpose
  • Attempt to gain unauthorized access to our servers or systems
  • Interfere with other users' use of the app
  • Submit false, misleading, or harmful content through feedback
  • Use automated tools, bots, or scripts to interact with the app
  • Attempt to bypass enforcement features configured on your account or by your parent (including by manipulating the device clock)
  • Circumvent family-seat rules, e.g. by rotating seats among people outside your household

6. Permissions

Eyezo requests certain device permissions to function properly:

  • Usage Access: To track screen time and determine when you need an eye break. This data stays on your device.
  • Display Over Other Apps: To show the eye care overlay reminder on top of your current app.
  • Notifications: To send break reminders. You can disable these at any time.
  • Exact Alarms & Battery Exemption (Optional): So break reminders fire on time and keep working in the background.

You can revoke any permission at any time through your device settings. Some features may not work without the required permissions.

7. Intellectual Property

  • Eyezo, its design, code, content, and branding are owned by Shanu Tyagi.
  • The Sanctuary and Ocean themes, including all visual elements, are proprietary.
  • You are granted a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable license to use the app for personal, non-commercial purposes.
  • Break tips, educational content, and other in-app text content are owned by us.

8. Health Disclaimer

Eyezo is not a medical device or medical service.

  • The 20-20-20 rule is a general wellness guideline, not a medical prescription.
  • Eye care analytics, blink test results, and compliance scores are for informational purposes only.
  • The app does not diagnose, treat, cure, or prevent any eye condition or disease.
  • If you experience eye pain, vision changes, or other symptoms, consult an eye care professional immediately.
  • We make no guarantees about the effectiveness of the 20-20-20 rule for any individual.

9. Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law:

  • We are not liable for any damages arising from your use of the app, including but not limited to eye strain, vision problems, or data loss.
  • Our total liability shall not exceed the amount you paid for the app in the 12 months preceding the claim.

  • We may temporarily suspend the service for maintenance, updates, or security reasons.
  • Features may be added, modified, or removed at our discretion.

11. Account Termination

  • Upon deletion, your personal data will be removed from our servers. Local data is deleted when you uninstall the app.
  • Active subscriptions should be cancelled through Google Play Store before deleting your account.

12. Changes to These Terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. We will notify you of significant changes through the app or via email. Continued use of Eyezo after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated Terms.
